Mark joined Geeks Rule in 2016 as President & CEO.
Mark has been an executive in education technology for over twenty years in both consumer and institutional markets. He created and built successful businesses at companies such as Scholastic, Kaplan, Dorling Kindersley and RM Education.
At Scholastic, Mark created the Scholastic Software Club, a revolutionary distribution business that he built into a $25 million enterprise. At Kaplan, Mark revived the company’s consumer test prep software business, taking it from 10% to 70% market share within twelve months.
Mark has taken an active leadership role on a pro-bono basis for several nonprofit organizations involved in educational causes, serving as Vice Chair of the English Speaking Union and President of the Oliver Parents Council. Mark earned his BA in English and History and his MBA in Marketing at the State University of New York at Albany. He lives in New York with his wife and two daughters.
Joey co-founded Geeks Rule in 2014. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board and previously served as President & CEO.
Joey has a strong background in technology and computer science. He has developed various desktop and mobile applications and works with several technology startups in New York. He has a keen interest in internet, digital media, and consumer trends. Joey graduated with honors from Columbia University.
Jake co-founded Geeks Rule in 2014 and previously served as COO.
Jake has previously founded and worked with various technology startups in New York. He has a deep interest in financial technology and accessibility, as well as nonprofit strategy and administration. Jake graduated with honors from New York University.
Don co-founded Geeks Rule in 2014. He has previously held the roles of COO and Director of Community Outreach.
Don has several years of experience advising multiple New York-based technology startups with respect to strategy and operations. He is very involved with the NYC startup community and is interested in nonprofit strategy and community development. Don graduated from Pace University.
Chris joined Geeks Rule in 2014. He currently serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives.
Chris has a strong background in business development and strategy, having previously worked in Product Management, Corporate Development, Marketing and Sales at various firms. Chris graduated from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.
Ishaan joined Geeks Rule in 2014. He currently serves as Co-Director of Professional Outreach.
Ishaan has a strong academic background in science and engineering and a professional background in Process/Industrial Engineering. Ishaan graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree and a Minor in Project Management from the University of Maryland and holds a Masters in Engineering Management from Duke University.
Nick joined Geeks Rule in 2016. He currently serves as Co-Director of Professional Outreach.
Through his network and experience in the international startup community, Nick has developed a deep passion for disruptive technologies, specifically as they relate to risk management. Autonomous driving, big data analytics, and machine learning are just a few of Nick's interests, in addition to promoting STEM education to prepare the next generation of innovation leaders. Nick is a graduate of Boston College's Carroll School of Management.
